What made you want to become a DJ?

I grew up with my grandparents always DJing and I think that helped my love of music grow. And then you combine that with helping people celebrate and party, it’s just an overall an amazing experience.

What is the most rewarding part of being a DJ?

I believe the most rewarding part of being a DJ is the moments that you witness. Yes, everyone experiences these when you are at a wedding and reception but being a DJ gives you a different perspective. Seeing the way the bride and groom look at each other, seeing the family melt together into one, it’s something that I never get tired of being a part of.

What is your favorite song?

I listen to music almost constantly so choosing a favorite is really hard at first thought, but the more I think about the easier the decision becomes. My favorite song is “Don’t Stop Believin’” By Journey.

What made you want to become a DJ?

I became a DJ after Steve approached me. We work together at EATON. At the time, I had just completed some training that I was Facilitating. He said, “Have you ever thought about being a DJ? You are really good in front of people.” At that time, Travis and I were dating long distance. The only way that I would agree was if Travis agreed to be a part of it with me. And here we are…

What is the most rewarding part of being a DJ?

The most rewarding part of Being a DJ is to see the smiles on people faces. The hugs at the end of the night from the bride and groom and family; it makes the night. Then doing family and friends’ weddings  in the future and seeing everyone again!!

What is your favorite song?

We love music way too much to pick just one

What made you want to start QUAD Sound?

We started to take country western and ballroom dance lessons when our children were 'leaving the nest'.  Dancing led to  joining a dance club, then to playing music for the dance club's dances.  We found out that we really enjoyed DJ'ing and began QUAD Sound DJ Service in 1997.  We love dancing, music, and seeing all ages enjoy music and having a fun time.

What is the most rewarding part of being a DJ?

The most rewarding part is at the end of the night, after the dance when the bride and groom give us hugs and tell us thank you.

What is your favorite song?

Steve- “When You Love Someone” by Bryan Adams

Colleen- “Old Time Rock’n’Roll” by Bob Segar and The Silver Bullet Band
